If you are attempting to Un-install the Frontpage Extensions in a cPanel environment and the system continues to indicate that the extensions are installed, try searching for the keyword "frontpage" in your /public_html/.htaccess file.  If you have any lines with the word "frontpage" in your public htaccess file, the cPanel system will interpret this as an active installation.
